I have four daughters. I have gone through three strollers, so when it came to choosing my fourth and final stroller, I wanted to chose wisely. After many hours of online reading, baby store stroller trials, and endless price comparisons, my husband and I finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Mia Moda Energi Stroller. I knew that my final stroller would have to be rugged, but I also wanted one that made a statement. Call me vain, but after four children, I wanted to have something nice for her to ride in.
All Terrain European Design Without the Hefty Price Tag:
We live on the beach, so we needed a three wheel stroller that would push through sand and dirt roads. I have owned my Mia Moda Energi Stroller for over a year, and I have found that it will push through dirt, pot holes and sand. It’s suspension assures that your baby will not feel a thing. In fact, I often take it on long runs down our dirt roads. At first, I was apprehensive that the wheels were made of plastic. However, after a year of using my Mia Moda, the three wheels have not shown much wear. Furthermore, I do not have to ad air to them which is an added plus.
Although this stroller is made in Pennsylvania, it European design offers style and practicality. Its Mercedes Benz-like wheels turn heads whenever I take my stroller out and about. Its curved, nickel color frame bar add to the European flare. The Willow pattern is so stunning that I constantly have people asking where I purchased this unique stroller. But best quality of the stroller: my daughter loves the smooth ride, the padding is superior, the harness never gets tangled, and I have an effortless push as this stroller seems to glide. It turns on a dime thanks to its swivel front wheel.
An All in One Travel System:
When I purchased my stroller, I bought the entire travel system. The infant seat is ultra light and great to fit in small vehicles. The car seat clips effortlessly into the stroller. It un-clips with one hand. Once it is securely clipped onto the stroller, both canopies (one from the stroller, one from the car seat) expand to create a snug and weather prof pram perfect for newborns. If you are not in the market for an infant travel system, then the Mia Moda Energi Stroller will work perfectly for an infant 6 months and older.
Easy Fold Down?
With four children, time is of the essence. I have an SUV, and I love that this three wheel stroller is more compact than other designs on the market. I can take my stroller out of my SUV with one hand. After the safety clip is disengaged, my stroller pops open. However, my front tray has taken a bit of abuse. Perhaps this would not happen if I was more careful when opening it. The cable breaking system is also new feature added to the line of three wheel strollers. Rest assured that there is no breaking bar found on traditional strollers. Mia Moda threads the cable break through the fabric to the front wheel. This makes for easy fold down.
I found that with my previous strollers cheap parts lead to their rapid demise. So far, this has not been the case with my Mia Moda. The removable child’s tray is great for on the go snack time. I especially like the parent’s console. I can safely put my car keys and sunglasses in the console and close the top. The cup holder is also a great feature for moms and dads on the go.
I’ve saved the best for last: If you are tall, you will love this stroller. Its adjustable handle bar allows you to obtain the most comfortable arm position for your height- short or tall. I can adjust the handle bar so my husband (who is 6ft tall) or my eight year old daughter can comfortably push our stroller. I am tall, so this feature is a must for me. I can also hang my diaper bag on the handle bar of my stroller without it falling backward.
Overall, this is a great stroller for under $160 dollars. If you are looking for a unique and practical three wheel stroller, than you may want to try the Mia Moda Energi Stroller. I am fairly sure that you will not see many like it. They are only sold online.
